Secession 2015 - NOLA & NYC
There once was a painter there once was his girl…
Brooklyn’s Exquisite Corpse Company invites you to follow the muses through the rooms of this living art gallery. After an extensive run and rave reviews in New York, ECC heads to the Bywater to journey back down the rabbit hole of the Vienna Secession. You are invited to enter the paint-splattered world of Secession 2015. This compelling collaboration of seven playwrights, 6 actors, and multiple installation artists is inspired by the lives and work of the artists of the pioneering 1900’s movement. Much like the art and music of the Vienna Secession, sex, love, deception, and raw emotion traverse the curious minds of these painters and the women in their paintings. Painters and muses alike come out of their frames in search of what it means to be a muse or a creator. Join ECC for this immersive piece that begs the question Who gets painted and who gets to paint?
